We have three days of practice left before our season really begins. Remember that we don’t play the sport of water polo because we want to practice, we play because we want to play the game. The fun is about to begin I just hope you are all ready for the ride!

I had the opportunity to play in my alumni game this weekend and see all my old team mates. Even though I hadn’t seen them in ages I felt as if they were just as close to me now as they were back when we played together. Why am I telling you this?

1. These men could critique my polo and I would trust that they were doing it to make me better.

2. I could always ask for polo advice from them because I trusted they would try to help me.

3. I had some of the best times of my life with these team mates and we are forever bonded from it.

I would never trade these team mates, they are one of the reason I am who I am today. I am just hoping that you can build a relationship with each other like I had with my team mates. Remember you need each other, don’t take it for granted.

Ask not what your teammates can do for you. Ask what you can do for your teammates.

I wanted to let you all know that I am happy with the progress this week. I noticed an overall better attitude and work ethic. We are still going to build on this, but the progress is noticeable. Next week we start a practice schedule that looks more like it will during the season. So please come ready to not only work hard but think hard. This team will thrive if we all strive to become students of this game. Please enjoy your weekend get plenty of rest, proper nutrition and water! Ill see you early Monday morning.

-I will be away tomorrow with boys at CIF game. Coach Molly will be running practice. I expect a report of hard working players. There will be a point tomorrow when you want to let up, just remember this, King, Norco, Roosevelt think that we are weak this year, lets show them they are wrong.

-We continue to build and grow in our pre season. Players and parents should be proud of the hard work that is being put in to help make this season successful. We are running out of days before our season starts, so make every one that we have left count to the fullest. If you get tired push through, just remember becoming mentally tough will not only help you through a practice but through a game.
