Los Osos Scouting

The goalie is not very good. She is a first year field player turned goalie this year. I’ll keep an eye on her for any weaknesses during warm-ups tomorrow.
The only way they can really score is off the counter and when they are 6on5. Other than that they have an issue with putting the ball away 6on6.
Two meter players they look big but can’t really do much. front and press is the defense to go with.
Do NOT drop off the 4-5 side. That is where the shooters are so we need to press there.
The whole team dives to get calls so maybe address that to the ref before the game.
The 2m players can’t swim for crap. They are slow and we can easily counter all the way through.
Not a very deep bench so we have to push to get into their subs.
The people guarding the 4-5 side that play 1-2 are not very good. Timid freshman with decent speed but not a huge offensive threat.
“If you press them hard and stay in the lanes they shut down and they don’t know what to do.”
This is their first real game. They scrimmaged Riverside Poly but I doubt Poly put up much of a fight.

I have to say I am very proud of the way the girls played tonight. Great job going all the way out to PV to show them who is going to be dominate in DIV 3. I have to say your mental toughness coming back after the second quarter struggle, was something to behold.

Grace Ramirez player of the game with 51 points on the stat sheet. She also tied the school record for blocks in a game with 19!

Top field player stats with 27 was Hanna Derose. Great Job!
