With the early success of our season we, including myself, became confident. Confidence is good, until we become overconfident and stop recognizing that any team can beat us any day. Today we saw two tough losses, but let us look at what it taught. We are not perfect, we need to put not only the time into every opportunity but the will to work hard to get better. Today we see we are vulnerable when we don’t play as a team, and when we did we played very well. Let us shrug off the losses of today, and ultimately embrace the opportunity to be humbled, it will not only make us a stronger team but stronger people in general.

Remember a Phoenix rises from the ashes, how about we rise together tomorrow!

Big weekend ahead of us. Let us set our sites on some big games set before us. Lets play our game and at the end of this weekend, we will be even stronger then we started.

First game 11:45am against OLU at Newport H.S. be there at least 1 hour early we will have a long warm up!

The 5th annual Santiago Water Polo Alumni Game will be held Saturday, Dec. 27th!!! It’s our 10th year as an aquatics program and we are celebrating with our Alumni Game! Be at the pool for warm ups at noon, Girls game starts at 1:00, boys game will follow immediately after the girls game. After both games, a hot dog lunch will be served for all players. Come join us for some great fun and re-connecting with your former Shark family!!!
